I thought one or the other would be OK but not both.

Yep...it's one or the other. If you are singled out for a full body scan and decline, then you would have the "pat down". Otherwise, it's only the full body scan or the regular walk thru.

We have flown out of several airports that have the full body scanners but have never been selected to go thru one.

If I was chosen for the full body scan I would not have a problem with it.

I would prefer to get on a plane where everyone had a full body scan then one where nobody is searched.

Picked "Rather Not ... but would not bother me that much" ,,,,

Neither the Full Body Scan nor the Invasive Pat-Down would be that big of a deal to me ....

Interested in how the rest of you feel about this ....

I wold not really like it, but it would not bother me too much. Better safe than sorry.

That said, after my very boring 9 hour flight in March, I don't think I will be flying again any time soon, the whole thing is just too much like hard work.

I think it should be compulsory for everybody to have the full body scan, any safety measure is better than being blown up.

I voted rather not, however not at all for my daughter. No pat down or full body scan. I don't know them or motive. Very protective of her.
