Would you really like to spend 100 or so days on the same ship on a world cruise , assuming you had the time and money ?

I voted probably not, I think I would go stir crazy on the same ship that long even the QM2.
I know I could get off at each port but you tend to leave around 5 so you would be virtually always eating dinner aboard.

    I said absolutely without question.
I would love to be on board for 3 months plus.

The atmosphere on a world cruise is more relaxed and there really is no need to rush to the dining room every night.
In ports where the ships stays overnight or for 2 nights I would probably stay at a hotel just to have solid ground under my feet for a while.
Maybe I would do an overland tour for 3-4 days????
I would need a large cabin with a balcony. I would go crazy if I had an ov or inside cabin.

I hope I can do this one day - not many can say they belong to this very exclusive club.

Not only would I do it, I plan of doing it.
I will most likely build up to it by doing 4 week and 8 week trips to make sure we can handle long trips.
I would also be sure to find a ship that I really enjoy for that world cruise.

I picked maybe, but I suspect I would be very tempted if I had the time and money.

I voted absolutely for the same reasons as Lars mentioned. It would be great to see all the places I'd love to see.

I once had a couple who were retiring and moving to a senior condo complex. They sold their house, bought the condo, and had alot of money left over so they wanted to spend 6 months sailing around the world. Since the longest cruise was about 100 days, I actually sold them two cruises on different cruise lines and different ships that went to different ports. They absolutely loved it and said they were really glad they changed cruise lines & ships because it made both cruises completely different. Needless to say, I lived vicariously through them while they told us all about their adventures. So after listening to someone who had done it, I have no doubt I would enjoy doing it.

I voted probably not because if I had the time & money, I'd rather charter or buy my own yacht and do a world cruise at my own pace. I dream BIG!
