Don't use a computer, so no emails, we go to enjoy the ship and vacation. If the news on TV is from another Country than UK then we will watch it.

You make me laugh! When my kdis were kids, one of my friends taught me that trick. When I wanted them to do something, I told them not to do it. It was a fun way to get them to do whatever. Of course, they were smarter than I and they had a good laugh. Whether or not it worked, I really can't remember, but it was fun anyway!
I have to keep in touch so I at least check email morning and night, and most days post a blog (ie The ExploreNorth Blog » The Inside Passage to and from Vancouver ) that I later use as the basis for much larger photojournals that I post in an easier-to-read way on one of my Web sites.

I like Char's attitude!
My kids, brother and house/cat sitter are all instructed that trying to reach me abaord ship is hugely expensive, and I'm not likely to be reachable, anyway!
I know that they'd all fall over in a dead faint were I ever to contact them from a cruise, or from any trip, for that matter!
I often turn on CNN while I'm getting spruced up for dinner, and I do like to read the Times Digest that HAL still delivers. Helps me see whether the rest of the world is still there, and whether the market has imploded. Beyond those things, about which I could do nothing, anyway, "Who cares?"
