I recently started a new job, so I don't get any time off until the end of September, when I get a week. After March 31, 2009, I'll get 2 weeks.

When I worked for this company as an employee, I had 15 days of PTO, plus 2 "floaters".
Now, I'm a contractor working at the same company, and I just tell them when I need time off

Just announced th my boss that I was thinking about another 15 day transatlantic next year. He hates the idea of my taking off three weeks again. Apparently upper management had a cow when I was gone for that long.

I get as much as I want, none of it paid though.

I am a self employed hairdresser, so I can take as much vacation time as I want. It usually ends up being about 3 weeks per year. Unfortunately, it is not paid.

3 weeks, 2 personal, 5 sick. So just over 4 weeks since I can use sick as vacation, boss is cool like that.

BUT. I work weekends, 12 hour shifts, so if I need a weekend off for something I kill 3 days...Kinda sucks. But school helps cause I can't miss too many classes...

I'm retired but it used to be 4 weeks. It took 20 years to get it up to 4 weeks. And they didn't start that until I had been therer 20 years so the way they set it up I got gyped out of 2 weeks vacation.

Like the year I turned 21 they changed the drinking age to 18.

Thanks for asking!

I have six weeks and paid holidays. I did not use all of last years amount and was able to carry over an additional week this year.

They lump all of our vacation and sick time under Paid Time Off, or PTO. In June I celebrated my 8 year anniversary with the company, which puts me at 5 weeks of PTO per year.

Unfortunately my DW just started in a new position, moving from part-time to full-time, and only gets 2 weeks per year. I'll likely spend the rest of my vacation time on home projects and on long camping weekends. If I don't use it I lose it, and I'm not one to give earned vacation time back to the company.
