I'm so surprised that a lot of people don't take their cell phones with them on vacation.
In Jan 2005 we were on a cruise that disembarked in Fort Lauderdale, the weather was perfect there but back home in Philly there was a major snow storm on it's wayI was so happy to have my phone with me since I could call the airline (I added the customer service phone number into my phone before we left) and was able to get us switched to an earlier flight. When we arrived at the airport it was chaos since everyone was trying to change their flights to beat the storm, but we were able to bypass the line since we were already confirmed on the earlier flight. Ever since that time I won't travel without my phone.

We don't even own a cell phone. Will only get one if they stop the land lines into the homes. I hate everything about them. It is very annoying to be anywhere near to a person talking on one. When I am away from home I don't want to be bothered with calls. I want to know you called, that is why I have a message system, so leave a message and I will return your call when I get home.. And then there are those who are on their phones while driving. That is so dangerous, I have seen so many near misses, NO Thanks to the cell phones! JMO
