Most definitely!!! I despise having to go through security and waiting in lines. Because I have an artifical knee and ankle, I always have to be scanned. I dislike having to put my toiletries in my checked bags and having my carry-on luggage scanned. In some cases, you can drive to the port in less time than taking an airplane. Because of where we live (mountains of NC), we don't have an option of a direct flight and usually have to change planes in Atlanta with a 1-3 hour wait.

We always drive now because we can drive to all ports in Florida. Up till 11 years ago we had to fly to the ports.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

My preference would be to have a limo pick us up at home and drink champagen all the way to the boat.

But fantasies aside, I'd still rather drive. I hope to be driving to a lot more ports in our future.

I have to pay to drive, but I can use miles to fly for free. Anyway, it's kinda hard to drive from Chicago to San Juan.

I don't like to fly so it's nice we live an hour's drive from the Port of LA. Wish there were more choices such as coastal cruises that are at other times than September and May and that don't have to go to Ensenada.

I'd much rather drive, but I can't always find itineraries I like from those embarkation ports.

Driving also means that we can bring bottles of liquor home with us When I fly I can't be bothered with worrying about them breaking, not worth the savings if it ends up being used as a laundry pre-treatment
