Our most recent cruise was on Disney (one week ago) and noticed a big difference between this one and our Celebrity cruise of a few years ago. We no sooner arrived on the ship to great fanfare, but before we could get out of the atrium lobby to have lunch, we were approached with wine, beer and water purchases. We noticed these solicitors several times by the time we arrived at the Topsider Restaurant for a buffet lunch. Having already purchased these items prior to the cruise (online), for us this approach was not necessary and annoying.

And speaking of pictures, we were on the Allure of the Seas last week and they have a very interesting way of doing pictures - they've adopted the Carnival system of asking for your cabin card when they take a picture so it's available to look at on their electronic system. But if you want to see a hard copy, they still have those to but they are in portfolios instead of laid out all over the walls. They said eventually they'll phase out the portfolios, but seniors prefer to see hard copies versus the electronic version, at least for the time being. Once they go to a fully electronic version, this will save them even more money and their profit margin will increase accordingly.

And that space could then be put to better use as a new bar or the like!
