Passport - do you have one?

    Do you have a passport?

If yes, how long have you had it?

    If no, why not?

I've had a passport since I was about 6 months old. I've traveled internationally at least 15 times (and I'm not talking Canada or Mexico), so it was always necessary.

Karen and I both have one.. I've traveled to a lot of not so safe third world countries and wouldn't be without one.. My daughter and SIL are going on the Valor with us, this Oct. 23 and I insisted they get them...

I've had one since 1993 when my parents moved to England. They had me get one in case I ever needed to fly over there in an emergency. We've never been without one since.

Yes, DH and I both have one. We needed them for a trip to Hong Kong and then we use it for trips to Canada to our home office.

The general consensus here is yes but, from other threads on other sites, my understanding is most Americans don't have them. I'm sure many more will get them with the pending rule changes, but our Ambassador to the States has voiced concern that the new rules will see a cutback in Americans coming to Canada because of the requirement that they have a passport to get back home.

As for me, yes, we've had them for about 8 years, ever since we began travelling more frequently.
