Queen Elizabeth is going to have a speciality (extra cost) restaurant. At present we have not been told anything more.
This got me thinking, if you could have any type of speciality restaurant what would it be?

Highly ujlikely that this is what it would be, but I voted for Indian...
Though I may be spellling it wrong, I just LOVE Sag Panir
I voted other as I just ate at Cagney's steakhouse on NCL and it was excellant. I also would like seafood but all the seafood in the MDR was good too.
As noted in other poll on specialty restaurants I am philosophically opposed to them as they should be included in price of cruise.
I dont mind paying for anything as long as it is quality.
I would really want to see a fusion restaurant...A mix of Thai, Japanese cusine meets Italian. Fusion food is the most interesting food out there wtih exciting tasts and flavours.
Since considering having to pay extra for food that should already be included to me is a piracy scheme...I won't get started...but anyway..
...IF I were going to pay extra for specialty food it would be seafood...as long as it was 'all you can eat!!!" bring on the crab legs and lobster tail...scallops...mahi,mahi ...and more!!!I do like to be 'adventurous' when cruising and try foods I normally wouldn't try...[since it's already paid for...why not, if I don't like it they will bring me something else...it's a win win situation...] I usually like what ever it is I've tried anyway so they aren't losing anything..I don't like to waste food...so if I KNOW I wouldn't like it I don't try...or take a bite of the DH's ...
would like Indian or chinese food something 'different' is always on the menu for me when traveling...but not necessarily as an 'extra cost' for me...
On our first cruise my oldest son ordered quail....it was so tiny he felt sorry for the poor bird!!!
and ordered chicken nuggets later cause he was still hungry...the kids favorite thing was free soft serve ice cream!!! I had the absolute best seafood salad in the MDR during lunch hours...[I didn't know they were even open for lunch til the last day of the cruise!!! [yes, it was like crying over spilt milk...haha] First time I'd had lamb.. first lamb dish was really good, ordered some roast lamb with mint sauce....didn't care for it as much, but now I can say I've tried it.

I like Italian, seafood, and Asian restaurants, too. I especially love Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese...especially their seafood. But there are so many good ones around, it's easy to find that on land. And they all tend to be a lot alike, because they are doing traditional cuisine. Nothing wrong with that, I love it!
But the perfect 'dream' specialty restaurant on a cruiseship for me would be one that has a well known top notch chef in the kitchen. Maybe the chef the very best restaurant in Paris or New York. I'd like him to be working away back there personally making us all some special little culinary works of art that are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious. Menu items you never see anywhere else. Now that would be special!
