This is an idea I've picked up from some of the smaller sailing ships. The Mediterranean is very port intensive. In a short period of time you can visit many different cultures. How about a specialty restaurant that purchases local foods at the markets in the countries they visit and prepare meals that reflect local cusine, served with local wines.

I love the idea but cruise ships/lines are under very strict hygiene, health and safety rules so they are not allowed to bring local food onboard.

I didn't vote as I don't care to pay extra for what I have already paid for. The MDR works just fine for me. However if they had a no charge specialty restrurant I would love a French one.

I went for Italian as I love the sytle and elegance of the Portifino Resturants aboard the Royal Caribbean ships. I would like to see more resturants like this amougst other cruise lines!

    Voted Other ... Steakhouse

As much as we like fish/seafood, normally, we can get decent fish on cruises in the MDR ... not always true any longer with beef.
