Pack the tux and keep it formal - Honestly, I dont care to much about having to pay for a little bit of extra luggage when we are flying.

The formal dinners are a tradition of the sea. Keep the romance of sailing alive and pack your tux!

On principle, I won't pay for extra luggage.

Didn't see the choice of just wearing a suit and tie which is what I usually do. I have rented a tux on longer cruises when I can get more use for my $100.

Well, first I open the suitcase, then put the clothes in....how do you pack?

Seriously, I pack light with an eye to mix & match as well as using the ship's laundry service. No matter how long the cruise, we take a total of no more than 2 26" suiters and 2 carryons for the 2 of us. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't go. We have cruised for 24 days with no problems......and we always participate in formal nights.... dressed formally.
