    Whoops I bumped the ship.

    I have experienced 3 bumps.

    In 1997 on QE2 we hit a rock in Geiranger Fjord, nothing major just a felt a bump. They did have to send divers down but all was ok.

    In 2008 I was on board QE2 when she ran aground on her final sail into Southampton. I slept through the grounding but felt it when the pulled her off the sand bank.

    In 2009 I was on board QM2 when she broke her ropes and hit the dock in Zeebrugge. This made a very nasty dent in her stern which is still there. We sailed late after waiting for the insurance man to come and inspect the damage.

    Has anyone else been on board when there has been a "crash"? If you have, please tell us about it.

    I am happy to say all my bumps have been minor and have not effected the cruises.

    Nope! Never had that experience....thank goodness!

    Didn't a Carnival ship get blown into a Royal Caribbean ship last month? I remember seeing the YouTube clips of it. Maybe in Cozumel? Who remembers?

    We had rough night heading back to Florida. We were fighting 60 mph headwinds with a bent propeller. We heard that the propeller was bent when hit something in the water as we were leaving Montego Bay.
    The rumor was that it might have been a drug running submarine.

    We happened to be in San Juan PR and watch the Song of America rammed the dock. The ship had only been sailing for a couple weeks when it happened. We could hear them trying to pound out the dent with sledge hammers most of the afternoon.
