The Spirit of Adventure has a 14 nights August 2010 sailing called Wines of France Tour vineyards in the Loire Valley and Bordeaux region. We want to book this itinerary but not until 2011. We hope they will offer it then. They visit local food producers, take a tour one of Oporto’s famous port lodges and enjoy tutored local wine and food-tasting sessions on board. Although the cost of this cruise is higher than our recent trip on the RCI BOS it includes many extras which cost extra with RCI. For example, wine is included with the meals, the food is "specialty restaurant quality" without the extra cost, and excursions are included in the price.Early booking discounts begin at 45% and there is also an early payment discount if you pay within 14 days of booking. At the moment airfare, insurance, private transfer to the ship, gratuities, taxes, port charges, and surcharges are included although that may change in 2011.

We will book our own flights from and to Stockholm and therefore receive a 150 pound discount and we have our own insurance which would further reduce the cruise price by 100 pounds.
