Sue, you mentioned on the "Can You Swim" Poll that you can't.

You really can still see them quite well in Grand Cayman without getting into the water!

Normally, on the catamaran excursions to Stingray City a crew member will lift one out of the water for people who don't wish to get into the water to pet. You know how clear the water is there so you can easily see them swimming around.

Hope you'll get to do this the next time you're in Grand Cayman!

Sue, at Stingray City in Grand Cayman the water is only about waist deep so there is no swimming - at least not by humans. The rays on the other hand swim all around you. It is an amazing expierence.

saw one, don't know what sort at grand stirrup key. it was just swimming around minding it's own business.
as i don't swim it was in shallow water about three feet deep. left my camera on shore so didn't get any pics.
