    When do you pack?

When do you start to pack ready to get off a cruise?

I hate doing it, but usually do it on the afternoon of the last day.

I usually start about a month before hand. And then I re-do it 4-7 times.

Hanna, I think you misread the question. He was asking about packing TO GET OFF the ship.

BTW, I usually try to bring just enough clothes to get me by. When I unpack, I put the empty suitcase under the bed, opened. As the week goes by, I throw my dirty clothes into the suitcase. If I have planned correctly, all my clothes are dirty and I have practically finished packing by the last afternoon. If I still have a few clean items, I place them into my carry-on. This concept REALLY cuts down on the time I waste (spend) packing to leave my vacation.

As 'seasoned' travellers and cruisers, we look for a quiet moment on the last day to get most of our packing done. The final putting away of shaving gear and tooth brushes and stuff takes place on disembarkation morning. We're confirmed 'lug our stuff off ourselves' folks, so the midnight rush isn't of concern.

Darn. I did misread it. Old eyes ya know?

But in answer to the question, we start on the morning of the last day at sea. Hate it.

Like Beverly, I stow the dirty clothes in the suitcase under the bed so that on the last day there is minimal packing to do and I can enjoy that last day without spending a lot of time getting ready to leave.

I put my used clothes in the case as I go along, but still have to take them out and fold them so I can get verything in.

Well as soon as I unpack, i take the large trash bag I brought and put in an empty suitcase for dirty clothes.. Usually luggage on Princess goes out after dinner so pack up after dinner. Last year got a surprise, came out for dinner and the halls were filled with luggage. Steward said had to be out. Fastest throw in we ever did.Did remember to leave out for morningWith no clue where everything was, we put EVERYTHING out except for dickies carryon. We were going to a hotel to no chance of them being lost Won't ever do that agin, will be done in the afternoon on the last day
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
