I agree regarding movies while cruising. Can always go to the movies back home. But, Princess has movie screens on most of their ships and show a movie starting about 11pm, very relaxing to watch a movie on a lounge chair under the stars after a long day (also money saved, otherwise casino).

I find watching movies, at least ones I like, very relaxing so I often will check out the movies on the in-cabin TV. Usually early in the morning while we're getting ready or having breakfast in the cabin (sometimes hubby will make a tray for us in the buffet and bring to the cabin) or at night when we're getting ready for dinner or settling in for the night. Most of the time I don't make it to the movie theater at home so usually it's rent a movie or wait til it gets on TV.

That said, I have never watched "Poseidon" so I probably wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. We did see "Titanic" in the theater, and my girl was watching it a few months ago, but I wasn't interested in seeing it again.

Now "Airplane" I can watch over and over again. And don't call me Shirley.

Isn't that like watching "Airport '77" before going on a flight?

Hi Tex , Is Your avatar a statue of Napoleon ? is it on Elba ?

I have been on 5 crusies and only watched 1 film that was Frost/Nixon which I had seen and thought was really good. I woudn't watch Posiedon but not becasue it would freak me out but because it was not good enough to warrant a second viewing.

I put maybe, maybe not. I don't have a problem with the film, but I am sure I could find something better to do. Like watching paint dry. They showed Titanic on QE2 one year, but I did not watch it. I would have had to go almost 3 hours without food.
