Thanks, Paul. I was wondering how they came up with that 54".

The way they are is fine with me. Only someone doing something foolish is going to fall off a ship!

Give me a break, you will only fall off the ship if

    1. Someone pushing you over the railing

    2. You want to jump.

Stupid politicians have nothing better to do with their time.

So I won't be able to look over my balcony, I will be caged in.

I think this is a good height, unless you're clowning around and climbing up on objects. then nothing will help you.

I can just see it. Someone climbs on the higher railings after Congress changes its mind and passes the law anyway. The person then falls and sues the cruise line for having rails too high to climb on........

I am short and the railings are fine just the way they are. If the idiots want to climb over and risk falling overboard, Let them. I really don't care!

    42 inches is high enough!!

52 inches and we will barely get any air on the verandah!!
