Yes, it was. The coach was quite a character, too. We had a pleasnat time ereminiscing about him. He was also a very successful coach, sending several swimmers to the Pan American Games, and one or two to the olympics. Not me, of course.,.. I was barely good enough to make the team ... but good enough to beat folks on opposing teams. (sometimes)

A few times

We were on a Princess Panama Canal cruise. 2 years later on another Princess ship in the Caribbean. On the second cruise the cabin steward from the 1st cruise, recognized us by name, eventhough he was not our steward on this cruise. That floored us, since we do not over tip or stiff the crew, just go along with the regular amount they charge our cabin.

On a Princess transatlantic cruise our 1st stop was in Madeira, Portugal. While walking around this beautiful Island, we bumped into our neibors, they were also on the cruise.

The best was this one. On a NCL Bermuda cruise we got into a conversation with a couple while at the pool. See saw them a few more times during the cruise. A year later we were on a RC Caribbean cruise and while at the pool, this same couple came up to us and also remembered our names. This even gets better. These people were with 4 other couples and as it turns out, I went to Jr HS with 3 of them.

I have read many posts from people who have made life-long friends on cruise ships. They often go out of their way to book future cruises together. There is something special about the cruise experience.
