Have 2 concerns.

One is luggage -- we always get to the port with 4 pieces of luggage -- and we get there usually shortly after 11 AM. But HAL is not good about getting luggage to the cabins. All too often we get ours after 5 PM -- after the ship has left port -- and we worry that ours hasn't made it onto the ship. Have heard of people who did not get their luggage -- was accidently left at the embarkation port and had to be sent to the first port.

Also -- worry that our airline flights will have changed while we are cruising.

I just noticed this poll.

I voted "weather" because I am such an excursion fanatic. I REALLY love those excursions! If the weather's bad it messes up my outdoor plans. But having to hang out on a cruise ship isn't such a bad Plan B, so no matter what happens I'm happy.

Sometimes the replies to polls are a shock to me.

Here, only 1 for "Arrangements to go home". Yet, the board is always filled with folks who want to know if they'll have enough time to make it to the airport on disembarkment day.

Also, very few checked "Home Worries". While I don't dwell on it, I do think of my family, friends, and home in general every day while cruising. Always glad not to see a note or a call when returning to our cabin ... so I know there's been no emergency At Home.

I just re-read this poll and all of the answers. After careful consideration I have to honestly say I worry about pretty much nothing while on a cruise.

I care about the weather being nice, but I don't worry about it.

I always assume people at home will be fine (and they know how to reach us if they need to), and the things that can't be predicted or avoided...such as lost luggage or missed flights...are things that just get dealt with if and when the need arises.

I have had suitcases come late and dealt with flights which changed, and it wasn't the end of the world.

I am not surprised. The whole idea is to escape from reality and all those 'at home worries!' for a little while !

I picked other, only because when we cruise we truly try to forget our troubles etc. I can't really say its one thing, but some things do come to mind when we are on a long cruise, like the time we went to Alaska and came home very late, (delayed flights) and walked into a big puddle of water under our refrigerator that broke down while we were gone. Don't like those surprises on coming home.

I worry about my luggage getting on board...
I can't just go shopping and pick up a few things, as most places don't carry my Queen size figure clothing... I did one cruise on Freedom without clothes and never want to do that again..
You don't know what it is like, going into formal night wearing a fancy top and shorts... and many rude people can speak there rude comments very loud... I was almost in tears, but I wanted my steak and lobster night, I paid for it, and I was going to enjoy it no matter what was said about me..
