    "Because I Haven't Been There"

Is "Because I Haven't Been There" a good enough reason to book a cruise with an itenerary to places you're not even sure you'd like?

Ooh, I'm the first one to vote. I put "maybe" as one of our last few cruises was to a place (Alaska) that we haven't been to before. I don't think we would have gone there on a land only vacation.

There are some locations (Mexico Riviera and Baja California) that we have been too more than once and aren't interested in going to again, unless it's just to go on a cruise that's convenient to us.

On our dream list are two locales that are very far from us and sound interesting -- Australia/NZ and South America.

I voted yes because it's the main reason I picked our next itinerary, and the reason I picked our last one. I see no reason to keep going back to the same locations all the time.....he said as he prepares for his seventh trip to Hawaii.

Yep! For us, the ship is our destination now, so ports of call are not the deciding facter....except the fewer the better.

There comes a time in one's life when you have to slow down and not do so much anymore....so cruising is the perfect way to enjoy leisure time activities while being pampered and care-free.

Yes, how do you know if you will like it till you've been there? that's why cruising is so great. get to check out places on short visits and can see if want to go back for a longer visit. if not happy w/ the island or place, have the ship to go back to and do something on it instead. just my thoughts. it's like food, how do you know if like it till try it???
Carnival Victory April 22,2012. so excited to be cruising again.

Yes, ofcourse. The fun of travelling is to discover new places. Read, research, plan and visit them.
Even when we visit the same ports we try to explore different sights, areas etc.

I said maybe, only because of the wording that said
"places you're not even sure you would like."
I like going new places & would choose an itinerary for that reason, but it would be to somewhere I think I would like by listening to what other people had to say about it.
I would at least look it up to make sure I think I would like to go there. I wouldn't just go there because I haven't been there.

No, I sail for the ship
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
