I like this idea. You know you have a great cabin and can bargain with them as the cruise gets closer. The refunds or price reductions give you a little extra money to spend on things that make the vacation even more special.

i wanted an aft balcony so i was able to get the only 'wrap around' d2 balcony - the rest like that are JS so now if the price drops it's an even bigger score for me. if not, that was THE cabin i wanted.
