    Pre-cruise/Post-cruise stays?

That's the most time you've spent in your embarkation/disembarkation city?

We once stay a week in Southern Florida following a Caribbean cruise to see Miami (and visit hubby's uncle) and the Keys.

Also stayed a few days in Seattle following an Alaskan cruise.

I usually try for at least 1 night port stay so we won't miss the ship. Living in MN you never know how the weather will be in the winter.

For Europe we wanted at least a day early to see the port city, besides not wanting to miss the shiip.

We drive but always go over 2 days early and stay 1 night post cruise. Even living close to ports and no flying or snow, we do have hurricanes and anything can happen between here and there.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

We always fly in at least one day early (not to miss the ship!). Depending on ports, we may spend up to a week prior or post cruise, to enjoy (once we are there already!)

You gotta fly all that ways anyhow. An extra couple days VC just adds to the enjoyment!

    It's the PRE-Cruise for us!

When the cruise is over, we are ready to go home!

    Good Poll, Patty!

Always at least 1 day pre-cruise.
After the cruise, depending on the port ofcourse, we can stay up to a week.

Lars, where, in Spain, are you? Instead of a cruise, we are going to the south of Spain this winter.

a couple days both ways if we can. Must always be there at least 1 day pre-cruise, but prefer more than 1.
