Maybe some adults like to take stuffed animals on a cruise -- it's definitely not for us!!

If other people want to do this, it's fine with me as long as they dress their " stuffed friend " properly for Formal Evenings!

When our girl was 5, she did take a beanie baby size bear on a cruise and carry it about (except when she was in the kids' room). I even attached a tag (like you label keys with) with our cabin number just in case she dropped it. It came to meals with us and generally behaved itself. But was naked the whole time.

But the next two cruises, she left the toys at home. We did take a couple of "webkinz" on our last mini "staycation" and took photos of them throwing a party and also watching the party convention going on at that time. They didn't go to the beach though.

This reminds me of Flat Stanely...my kids had to send a paper doll in the mail to relatives who would then send it back detailing their adventures.

Boyd goes on every cruise with me but he is shy and always remains in the cabin although he has occasionally ventured out onto the balcony.

I took a Beanie Baby (bear) to the Med! I named him Bear and he had his pic taken at least once at each port, with a Cabin Steward, Champagne Bar Bartender, Dining Room Waitstaff. He almost got onto the Bridge but the guy that could have taken him got held up in a meeting. Bear took a tour of the ship too.I have a client (a groom) who takes a Pooh Bear with him whenever he travels. It a cute way to remember places.

Some people just have a "thing". If people bring their teddie bears, dolls, or a garden gnome along on a trip to get its picture taken in exotic locales...then I guess that's their thing. It's sort of cute. But it's not my thing.
Still, anytime the focus gets shifted away from enjoying one's surroundings and interacting with real live people...if that photo session with the inanimate object becomes more important...well, then, that crosses the line (in my opinion, anyway) from sort of cute to sort of bizarre.
