Didn't book Australia as I said we were thinking about doing. However have booked the British Isles for 2010 and Holy Land for this Nov. I feel so blessed to have 2 cruises booked.

As stated in Part I of the Poll; my DH will not travel to Europe; his loss and my gain! These cruises with be with my friend whose DH also doesn't want to travel to Europe.

Med Cruise; Already have the Ship; Date and Itinerary figured out for 2010; just waiting for the price decrease to happen since it's so loooong away!

Europe/Baltic; Figure this will be our 2011 cruise or maybe another 2010, possibly solo since I'll have some friends living in that part of the world

TransAtlantic; would love to fit one of these in! Even if I went solo sometime between now and 3 years

It is extremely difficult having more vacation time than my DH and friend!
Judy It's hard to SOAR with Eagles, if you Fly with Turkeys!

Lulu, I COMPLETELY understand! The only reason we will be away in October is that it is the only time that a ship is going to Iskendurun.

Garry, I heard that the seas were rougher heading west on the Atlantic, and especially in the fall. I'm guessing that you did not have that??

I checked the Med, since we are going this fall. I am hoping to find an Amazon cruise in the next year or 2, but many of them are over 2 weeks! Can't be away too long, so that limits things.

I checked other, because we are thinking of going to India and maybe cruising from there. But it all depends on the itinerary, so that may not happen in the next 3 years.

I would like to go back to Australia, and we have never been to New Zealand, but I think I would prefer a land based trip there. In Australia, there is SO much to see in the interior.

We've had it both ways--rough and smooth as glass. On one of our spring TAs we encountered the roughest seas we've ever been in (107 mph winds/45-50 ft. seas), and on a fall TA, the smoothest we've ever sailed on. You just never know what you're going to get--that's one of the fun things about doing a crossing.

Bob and I have done a land-based tour in New Zealand and it's really the best way to see the country. The interior of NZ is perfectly beautiful and there's just way too much to see and do. We fell in love with the people there and enjoyed wonderful food and wine. I sure would love to go back!

Since our son is being released tomorrow from the hospital,we are again looking for a fall cruise, after reading this one i think we will scratch the Aus/NZ one we had in mind, this was our thinking too, just too large of an area.

Think we will fall back to one on the Med,although the TA one someone on here is doing on the Connie sure looks interesting.

I've always wanted to go to Iceland and this cruise stops at 2 ports there.

We have also booked the eastbound TA on the Jewel in 2010. This cruise is a sea lover's dream. It only has 3 stops (Kings Wharf, Bermuda, Liston, Portugal; and Zebrugge, Belguim. There are 9 sea days which is great when you're losing hours during the crossing.

The nice thing about these 2 cruises is the departure and arrival port--Harwich, England. We are going to buy a round trip airline ticket with an open return which will save us a bunch of either $$ or FF miles (depending on what we can get).

    Come and join us!!!

Taking a look at your Jewel itineraries! SInce they are in and out of England, and we would get to see DH's family, I might get him to do one!
