The longest my husband & I have been away was 25 days with a 3 day pre-cruise, 17 day cruise and 5 day post cruise. Since it was the one and only time we would spend that time going to Asia, it was okay. But, I wouldn't want to be away that long again. I guess I am showing my age.
The longest for us so far has been 12 days and I was more than willing to stay on board so I voted for never. I think what I really like best about cruising is that all of your worries from home seem to dissappear for a while.
Barb The only bad cruise is the one I'm not on.

I voted never and yes, I think I could live on a ship! The longest we've been gone at one time is a 14 night cruise with 5 extra land nights attached to that trip. If we could afford it we would definitely buy one of those cabins on the ResidenceSeas!
We could live on a ship without any problems, it is less expensive than an assisted living facility...

I haven't ever really gotten homesick on a ship. I'm sure I could live aboard. It might get old if you were doing the same ports time after time, but that would be the only downside.
I voted a month but in all honesty it could be longer. In December we were gone for 17 days with one night pre cruise and one night after the cruise in FLL after doinga B2B on the Eurodam. The time flew by far too quickly and we were far from ready to go home. So I would like to test the theory before really stating for sure

Leah .... Do you REALLY? Even if money were not a factor, would you REALLY want to do this .... Remember, Never is Never Ever.....
yes I do I have also been designing my own cruise ship for two and a half years now you can go into my fourm and look at the one that is called Queen of the Seas and hae a look at my plans if you want
I honestly don't think I'd ever get home sick. I might start missing my dogs, but that's about it. The longest cruise I've been on was 10 days and I didn't want it to end. I'm doing a 16 day transatlantic in October and I'll probably want to stowaway instead of coming home. I love cruising. I never get tired of smelling the salt air and feeling the motion of the ship. I think I was born to cruise.
