    Thumbs down No

    No, it's not right.
It's not worth the hassle and it's only a few bucks (less than $10.00) per drink.
I guess those who smuggle booze are those who are the serious drinkers.

NO Never .... While we might not agree with the all of the ship's rules, we did agree to them. To not do so would not be ethical.

Sorry to be sounding "Holier Than Thou" ... because I've "slipped a little" too! Once, I bought a bottle of special RUM for a friend back home in a port stop on a Celebrity cruise and when I turned it in to security when we came back on the ship ... they told me to just take it to our cabin. MY FRIEND NEVER GOT THAT RUM!

Yes and no. What are today's official, unofficial, and merely acceptable policies?

When we were on a Baja cruise and shopping at the little marketplace next to the Ensenada pier, my hubby couldn't resist and he bought a little bottle of booze (like airplane size) and hid it in the girl's diaper bag. He made a few rum and cokes with it. Of course that was back in 1999.

.... however, that would probably NOT be a very good place to hide Cuban Cigars going through US Customs ....

There was a time that I would bring a couple of bottles of wine and a bottle of liquor for the cabin. I have cut way back and now just bring a little vodka to make Jello shots.
