Our 1st cruise was for 5 days, and it wasn't nearly enough time!!! We wished we had booked it for 7 days instead.

I can't imagine a three day cruise. There is so much to do and see, that three days is not nearly enough time to do it.

My first was a 4 day and hooked me. I later took a group of kids on a 3 day and thought it was way more work to get ready than fun to be had in such a short time frame.
    Have a GREAT day! Gayla

I can't imagine a 3 day cruise. You just get unpaked and it's time to go home.

I could never make up my mind in 3 days if I would like cruising. You really haven't had enough time on the ship to see what all if offered and how things will be after 6 or 7 days - like does the crew still seem happy to see you or are they tired of you.

It is better to go for the 7 day, as everyone has said, you need to relax and get into the cruise mode. Now anything lessthan 10 days is too short ofr us.

3 nights are too short to get a feeling for the cruise life (unless you are cruising on one of the luxury ships like Silversea, Seadream, Regent) Our first was 7 nights on HAL, Maasdam, and it was perfect. Now I prefer cruises longer then a week.

We prefer cruises longer than a week too. We've never had one but we prefer them!
