Both

It all depends on what you are looking for. Caribbean has the crystal clear turqouise waters and sunny warm skies while Alaska has the rugged coastline and Glaciers. I would suggest doing one of each.

Add to that a cross-country trip just to get to the port, and Caribbean got my vote too! (But I'd like to do Alaska someday. Seattle is beautiful.

Too difficult

The choice was too hard. Since I haven't been to Alaska for a few years, that would be my choice. There really are some decent rates to Alaska. Yep, I know that if you have to fly it adds up, but there are still too many factors to take into consideration for me to make a legitimate choice. Now, if one of the stops on the Carib itinerary is Grand Cayman, then the choice is a no brainer. Alaska would win hands down.

One day I would like to take the state ferries all around Alaska.

I voted for Alaska.

My first view of glaciers, I just stood on deck and stared in amazement as a glacier calved. Nothing like it in the world. TV shows, videos, or pictures don't capture what that feeling is really like.

I like going to the Caribbean too, but I've never done that there

Well it is going to be Southern Caribbean (Alaska is next year with a cruise/tour unless I convince Deb to do another TA) I still vote for Alaska but the prices were too good.

As of today (7/28/08), it's almost tied. So, maybe everyone should at least try both cruises.
