Husband and I prefer mini suites.Love to have the extra room and having a bigger bathroom. We really enjoy having our coffee on the balcony each morning. Would highly recommend having the Ultimate Balcony Dinner fot anyone celebrating that special occasion.

I've had all different types of rooms, everything from inside bunks to large balconies. I prefer balconies BUT I usually chose depending on where I'm going and the price differences. I really never spend time in my room but sleeping with the door open and hearing the water at night is great! More than most I end up with oceanview or inside!

I've only been on one cruise, but found I really spent a lot of time on the balcony... reading, listening to music, and just reveling in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Was lovely on port days, too... could watch all the port activity without having to leave the cabin.

Cool

Balcony is the best for me. On the other hand cost is a major consideration, sometimes a Balcony can be had for as little as $50 more than an outside! Many other factors can be involved in this decision such as Ship configuration, cruising area (on our last Alaska Cruised it rained everyday) and length of cruise ( I could tolerate an Inside for a few days).

I've only had inside and outside cabins. But this Oct I'll be in an SS on the Oosterdam and next year a balcony on the Westerdam. Everyone says once you have a balcony, you will never go back. I'll have to wait and see if this is true.

It doesn't matter to me as long as I am on board.

I love a balcony but it depends on price...if they are really expensive as compared to an OV or inside I'll spend the cash elsewhere!! I'm up and out early and then back late so I can get along OK in an inside.

DH at least wants an OV, even a partially obstructed view. I would love to splurge on balconies, and have a few times, but will go cheap, to go more often!
