Where do you like to stay?

Where do you like to stay on your cruise ship? The bow, aft, middle, or anywhere? Why do you pick the location that you do? Just curious to see what everyone's preference is. I have always picked an aft cabin. I will have my first cabin in Oct near the bow.

I checked off 2 categories. On the R and S class ships of HAL, we like the bow. On the Vista class ships -- the middle near the Neptune Lounge.

I love the aft and always try to get a cabin there. I can sit for hours just watching the wake. I love the view too. You can see both starbard and port as well as aft views and that's great for someone who loves to take pictures. The other reason is the size. The verandas are large enough that you can have a couple of lounge chairs out there for great afternoon naps.

I haven't done an aft cabin, but after that description I think I'll have to try one. We generally don't pick specific cabins and for the most part have been near the middle, which we've liked.

We try to book a bow balcony cabin on the highest deck possible (we like to rock'n'roll)!

.... but, we're fine ANYPLACE on the ship.

The balcony is HUGE! We had an aft balcony on the last one (Carnival Miracle) and we thought it was big, but yours has ours beat. We are going on the Liberty in Oct in a suite. The one we picked has a 110 ft balcony. I cant wait to get my afternoon naps on that balcony.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I am always intrigued by peoples likes and dislikes.

LuLu, I had to laugh at yours. I like to rock and roll too, but not because of where I sleep. By the way, DH birthday is very close to yours (dont know how old you are, not asking because that would be rude to ask a lady such a thing ). His bday is March 26.

Hanna ... That balcony is BIG! It's as least as large as any we've had in Mini-Suites!

Stacy ... A bit of the "Motion of the Ocean" is always fun! Either end of the ship works best. We avoid Mid-Ship, when possible, because it's much too stable!

We had the same room a couple times on Plaza deck at the boe. Loved that location. Then we have had a few on upper decks mid ship, loved that location too, and of course on those we had a balcony. Have never been aft but would love to try it sometime. Trouble is it's to much $$$$$, I can dream though!
Like LuLu, I love the mothion of the ocean and wouldn't having more of it.
