I prefer Eastern cause there is usually more sea days!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Like Char, I love transatlantics (sea days), but also like the round trip to Hawaii (sea days). It would be hard to vote for just one destination since I have enjoyed each and every cruise I've been on and have loved visiting different countries.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

I prefer the round the world because I get to see everything.

Nope, just a dream so far.

Garry & Char or Anyone .... Please tell me what sort of DAYTIME activities are offered other than trivia, lectures, and just reading on the many At Sea days when doing transalantics or Hawaii cruises. (We would be considering only Celebrity or Princess for this sort of thing ... stuck at sea ... need to be able to eat the food on the ship. ... and we already know to only do port intensive cruises with HAL even though their food is fine ....)

I would be OK ... but ... concerned about DH getting bored.... He actually loves At Sea days when there is some daytime musical activity around the pool bar or elsewhere.

WE had lectures by a former NASA engineer who regaled us with stories of the early space program (he referred to the Mercury 7 astronauts by first name). There was a great lecturer on legends of the sea who told tales of ships going donw- especially Titanic stories (after all, we were following its path).

The head chef gave several demonstrations on all sort of things from spinning sugar to soup (did you know that leeks are better than onions in a lot of dishes since they have the flavor but not the bitterness?)

Most of the activities at the bars was only at night (dang it).

Various groups got together and gabbed. That was a blast.

    Bingo and the like (BORING!)

Most of the time we just rested and had a great time doing so.

I get to hear very similar stories from my father in law who worked on the Gyro systems when he worked for Honeywell.
