We are northerners, so defintely we have to fly to get to a port. Sometimes the air can cost as much as the cruise!

We can drive to Tampa, Ft Lauderdale, Miami and Pt Canaveral. Of course, Tampa is the nearest one for us.

Whenever possible we always fly when traveling. Residing in Louisville, Ky. it would be a long drive to any departure port for us.

I live in suburban Philadelphia, so we have cruises leaving from that port---but only to Bermuda. We also have other ports around us--- 1.5 hours from Baltimore and 2+ hours from NY and NJ. But I must say that when we cruise we mostly do so out of Florida because of the choices!

My Signature Philly is a city where Eagles are the topic of all conversations all year.Meals consists of Yuengling, cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, & Tasty Kakes. Its where there's a Wawa on every corner & you look forward to the 1st day of Spring when Rita's gives out free "wooder" ice.Its where you know its the shore not the beach & a hoagie not a sub.Its where you know sprinkles as jimmies. Outsiders will never understand!.....

We have no choice but to fly in since no cruises leave for anywhere within reasonable driving distance. That could change if your government enacts the new rules for foreign port visits. Maybe then the cruise lines will all leave from Canada, eh? Yeah, sure!

We've been on a couple out of Seattle but prefer warmer destinations so end up flying to another port.

Except for NYC, there really aren't any local cruises, so we usually have to fly down to Florida. Of course, when more cruises start leaving out of Philadelphia in the future, that would be my favorite option (assuming they go to more places than Bermuda!).

I voted for my local port...

I live in Barbados....so unless you guys decide on a Southern Caribbean sailing out of Barbados I will have to fly to whichever port is chosen.
