I have booked a balcony for my next cruise but my favorite is an inside
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

We will only book a veranda, just love sitting there and watching the ocean. It's just so relaxing.

Yes Char, I will have to introduce myself soon. True I am a "newbie" to this neat web site but not to cruising. We took our first cruise back in 1994 and booked a window cabin. The next several cruises, as newer ships went into service with more and more balconies, we begin selecting balconey cabins. The last three cruises we booked a suite and relly like the extra space. Often when we meet new friends on a cruise we like to invite then to our cabin to entertain. Each time we moved up to a better cabin we never returned to a lesser one. However, no matter what type of cabin you have cruising is the best vacation in the world.

I voted for the balcony suite. But,money is an object. It's just that I won't do without my balcony no matter how long I have to wait for the next one.

I am really curious. Why is an inside your favourite?

Most of the time we book insides. On Celebrity they are the same size as the others (even the balcony cabins), so it doesn't matter to us.

Whenever, I think that maybe this time I will upgrade, I look at the bottom line, and head right for the cheapie! Can't help it!

Oceanview balcony rooms are my favorite, however I can live with an oceanview window room. I don't like inside rooms because if the light are turned out there's no light in the room. I like to go out on the balcony during departures because there's usually not a lot of room in the public areas to see.

We just about always book insides. We figured we'll save money for our next cruise, it'll force us to get out of our cabin more often, and my hubby feels he sleep better as he's used to sleeping in dark, dark rooms (when he worked graveyard shift, he outfitted the master bedroom with curtains/shade that completely block light when closed). We will often keep the bathroom light on in the cabin and that door ajar so that if one of us gets up in the middle of the night, we can find the john.
