Now you understand why I'm a Royal Caribbean, Princess, or Holland America fan - much better service, better food, and nicer ships without paying much more money.

By the way, thanks for your service!

I was in Vietnam 70-71 on River Patrol Boats in the Mekong.

Pete, we're also RCI and Celebrity fans! We won this Carnival cruise over on CC and thought we would give Carnival another try. We cruised with them once before back in 2000 and didn't have a very good experience.

While it wasn't a "bad" cruise, it didn't live up to our expectations. While no cruise is perfect, some are more perfect than others

    Thanks for your service, Pete

Pete, I'm with you. We are Celebrity/HAL/RCI cruisers too. Leaving on Radiance on Sep 28th for Hawaii and counting the days. Love those Diamond perks.

    Hey, Bob!

I have four clients on the Radiance of the Seas to Hawaii on 9/28. I know you will thoroughly enjoy this ship - my wife and I were on it in the Southern Caribbean a few years ago and we absolutely loved it! It's a beautiful ship, the crew was wonderful, and the food was very good. If I was going to do a roundtrip to Hawaii, this would definitely rank high on my list.

    Have a wonderful cruise!!

By the way, I heard that veterans who contact the Navy in Pearl Harbor can get a special tour of the USS Missouri and bypass the usual public tour with their long waiting lines. Don't know who to contact or whether non-Navy types can do it, but it might be worth looking into.

Thanks Pete, we were on the Brilliance last year on a T/A and absolutely loved it.

Did the Missouri a while back when it was in Bremmerton.

Have your clients participated in the roll call over on CC?

No, neither couple is into any of the boards and don't really do anything on the computer. But I do know they love to party!

I started a roll call here for our Hawaii cruise, but we don't have a broad enough base of membership to get much action. In time we will be big enough

We're back and had a terrific time. Made some good friends and couldn't ask for a more congenial group. Service was outstanding as always. Radiance is a beautiful ship and the crew great. Even ran into one who was on Navigator last year. This was our third Hawaii cruise and fourth time there. Did the North shore tour and Volcano National Park and would recommend both.

    Talking

    HEY Y'ALL,
    I'm back.
I was banned from Cruise critic for posting a cruise that wasn't through their dictatorship.
Anyway, it is in the works. I am utilizing Beverly from Cruising smart.
    beverly@cruisingsmart.com
She is working on Carnival to see what other amenties she can get for us.
I know that the Balcony is $875 which includes all port charges, tax and fuel surcharge. We will be getting $100 OBC, private cocktail party and free group photo of all the Vets in the group. I will have more details when I hear back from her. I will keep you all updated.
Hope to see you all November 8, 2009
