Depends on how long

If we are leaving out of San Pedro and the cruise is 7 days or less, we park at the port. Very convenient. If the cruise is longer than 7 days, then we stay at the Crowne Plaza that has a fantastic park-n-cruise package.

In Seattle we have someone drop us off. We do the same for them when they cruise. For Vancouver we usually drive and park at the pier. We fly to all other ports.

Haven't parked at a port in several years. Used to be.....there was a time when you parked at a sporting event, entertainment event, amusement park, etc. when the parking fee covered the cost of the parking lot, thier insurance and maintenance and the cost of a few parking lot employees. Sadly, now they all see this as another of their mainstreem revenue. We try to avoid pay parking any way we can.

We live closest to Galveston and both times we used a lot near the port. Just a couple blocks away!

Since we live in Montreal we usually get dropped as we fly in and stay at a hotel the night before. In California we park at the port as we stay with the inlaws. When we sailed from New York we drove down (only 5 hours) and parked at the foot of the ship.

My Signature Reading something 100 times is worth less than seeing it once. Enjoy life at sea....

We live close to San Perdo so we drive and leave our car. Our car is always ready to go when we are with no complaining. We had our son drop us off once and when he was too early and had to circle I never thought I'd hear the end of it. Not to mention it was too early for him on a Sunday morning!! Kids!!
