We have left our car at the port and have also stayed at a hotel that provided free parking and shuttle to the pier. It would depend on which port in Florida that we are driving to. Port Canaveral we park at the port. Miami or Ft. Lauderdale we will either fly or our son in law will drive us and take us to the port. Jacksonville we have gone over the day before to meet up with friends we were cruising with and parked at the hotel. Each situation is a little different

Wish we did live near a port - we would definitely drive and park the car at the pier.

No worry about the traffic in the port and if you leave from one dock and return to another no hassle of finding the right bus to take you to the right garage. Had that happen for second cruise. Pick up and delivery right at your car. Plus saves money.

Wish there was a Park N Fly in Miami. So am trying to find a good non port lot with a shuttle. So far not sure about what I've found. So few places for the port and most are valet only and we don't want to leave our keys.
I found this link. We booked it for our Azamara cruise next month out of Miami and it is $96/for 12 days.

If we are leaving a local port we will drive because local is not that local.

To get a car service to NYC can be expensive since I am in upstate NY. The Bayonne, NJ port I am sure would be even more. Both range about an hour or so in distance.

To bother someone to make a round trip twice compared to the convenience and pricing of parking at a port is not worth it.

For our last 5 day cruise we paid 80 bucks to park at the pier. Now I was going to have the GF's mom take us, but 3 hours round trip x 2 trips = 6 hours of driving that alone is 30 in gas or more. Not to mention her having to get up around 4 or 5 in the AM to get to the port by 8 and wait until we get off the ship...

It was 80 well spent. So I voted drive.

Using the link you provided what lot are you using? If it is CBM, it has good and bad points. Good they do have a shuttle to the ship and pick you up at the end. The bad, they only leave for the port on the hour, so if you get to the lot a bit after the hour then you wait (outside) for the hour. When you get back it is the same, you wait until the hour and wait outside.

Better than having to drive in Miami traffic your self and definitely less expesive.

We just got home today from Port of Miami and used CBM. That's how I know.

I'm in agreement there - we live about 250 miles away but, when there are four of us, it still works out cheaper to take a taxi
