Thread: Ship's special Martini of the day.

Some cruise lines have a Martini special of the day which is different than the cocktail of the day.

Do you buy them?

I never have.

I use to get the chocolate Martini. At one time HAL made them with Absolut and Dark Lady Godiva liquor. Then HAL sewitched and made them out of the house vodka and just added some chocolate syrup.

Haven't bought any since.

I buy them for my wife. I don't usually drink them myself.

What is her favorite Martini?

I never have yet but thats not saying I won't try one on a future cruise.

Any special one you might try?

We never buy drinks on the ship. The freebies they hand out are enough for us! We do order wine some of the time, but we don't drink wine each and every night. We don't bring wine or liquor on board to have in our cabin. If, on occasion, someone gives us a bottle, we have difficulty finding a time and place to drink it!!!! That happened on our last cruise. We didn't want to pay corkage and finally we shared it with friends out on deck the last day of the cruise. As you can see, we are heavy drinkers!!!!!!

When it comes to martinis, I stick with tradition.....or occasionally a James Bond special.....shaken, not stirred.

Did someone say, "Vodka Martini" ? Count me in!
