Sometimes think it's hard for those of us who NEVER get Sea Sick to relate to those who do.

Have always wondered ... (PLEASE ... in no way being ugly here) WHY folks who know they get Sea Sick continue to cruise?

I don't get sea sick but my DH does and he just uses the little patch and it works great for him.

He continues to cruise cause I really like it and with the patch on nothing bothers him!

DH and I use the patch

Ive only been really ill once, and that was the first time I got sea sick! We were in the South Atlantic and it was rough. Now if I get that feeling, I will put on a patch and leave it on for the 3 days (if we are still at sea). Usually I am then good to go.
We've experienced no "side effects" from it at all.

Reminds me of this couple who was on the roll call for my last cruise. This was their first cruise ever and it was for 15 days to Hawaii, which isn't the calmest of rides. I thought that was strange and certainly not the cruise I would have recommended to newbies. As it turned out, we had rough seas the first couple of days. Met the woman during this time and she said her husband was staying in the cabin, sick as a dog.

On my first few cruises I felt seasick but never actually got sick. I always felt queasy and little dizzy but that was it. So I decided to keep cruising. It actually doesn't bother me at all anymore. I take my motioneaze with me just in case. You never know. But I think after 10 cruises my body has gotten used to it.So that's another remedy, keep cruising! It didn't stop me and now I'm glad i didn't stop!

I think that is the key to no longer getting motion sick. Is frequent cruising so your body gets use to it.

One of the reasons we never tried cruising up till our first cruise in March 2002 was we were sure that we would hate cruising and I would be stuck in my cabin the whole time extremely sick. Well, guess what I was not. We found we loved cruising and everything about it. Have I occasionally felt motion sick, sure I have but it certainly would not stop me from cruising we are hooked. I love the movement on the ships epecially the sway on the aft end, which is great for sleeping at night

I will say I have been taking Bonine for about 18 years and also doing plenty of drinking with it and never have had a problem.

Although I might have to check out that Motioneaze
