I voted "other".
As an old school fruballer, I am uneasy abouit rewarding people with very valuable prizes based strictly on frus, since frubals have become mostly a sign of popularity. However, I DO appreciate that people who have collected large amounts of frus must be doing something right to get that many. No matter how much someone begs, you still have to be a nice person for people to fru you, and it's nice people that makes CLF such a great place.
I can see trading in frus for the kinds of things Mango mentioned, and hopefully those items will help bring in new members. I can just hear the conversation:
Prospective New Member: That's a cool t-shirt. Where did you get it?
CLF T-shirt wearer: I got it from the CruiselineFans website, and get this, I got it for free!
PNM: Free! That's great! How did you do that? I'd like one too, and free is a great price!
CLF TSW: Well, I earned it! The site has something called frubals, and when you earn enough, you can get a koozie, a hat or even a t-shirt like this one. And you earn frubals by making friends or posting good info.
PNM: I've never heard of anything like that. It sounds to good to be true; the last site where I posted became a giant flame warzone. I think it was a cruise website too!
CLF TSW: I know exactly what you are talking about - I used to post at a place just like that. But the frus make this place different. People are encouraged to be nice!!!! And the stewards and admins are very firm about allowing differing opinions, as long as there are no personal attacks. I have made great friends and I am cruising with some later this year!
PNM: That sure does sound different, but I would have to see it to believe it.
CLF: Well, the site is cruiselinefans.com, just like on my shirt. Take a look around and see what you think. And I will send you a link that you can click on if you decide to register.
