    Aww crap you've got a good point!!! If it weren't for docking in CA, we'd be in the US the whole time!!! ugh!

    Got our passports a short while ago, and it feels great, ready for anything. I must say it was very hard to part with that money for them!

    Got my first passport when I first starting going on cruises (either for the first one or the second one). It's really nice to have when we're coming back on the ship and need a photo ID. I even used mine while in the Hawaiian ports.

    We got our girl her first passport when she was 3. I went to the LAX post office alone (the closest office that provided passport applications wouldn't take you without an appointment via phone, but you couldn't get through to their reservation desk). Five years later, I had to go with hubby and the girl to get her passport renewed, but at least we were able to go to the post office a few blocks away.
