How come the question on the subject line is "cruiseline stocks - own any" but when you get to option #1 the question is specific to RCL or CCL?
Though I'm not certain I think most lines that are publically traded are owned by either Carnival or Royal. Norwegian is owned by the Star group and if you bought any on the asian market you'd have to have them registered as foreign securities which creates a bit of record keeping problems. Most of the smaller lines are not traded in stocks.
The Stock symbols for the two that are traded on the NYSE are CCL and RCL.
I don't think any others are traded there . . . not anymore, anyway.
Those are the two on the NYSE!
While I really don't like to own stocks in things that Fly or Float, do have a very small amount of each -- 100 shares -- just because it's enough for the cruising benefits and ... because I want to! Certainly, not following my own advice of not "falling in love with a stock" ... but I've had them for a very long time.

OVER 40 (started young) Princess, Celebrity, RCCL, HAL, NCL, Costa, Disney, Carnival, Sitmar (Princess bought), and (a very long time ago) SS Bahama Star
Cruise lines---I forgot Disney's ships, I'm guessing they're part of Disney holdings but considering most ships are of international registry I wonder where those ships are registered; whose flag they fly? And if they're part of the 'Disney' Corp. stock symbol. Anyone know?
If you look like your passport photo, you need a cruise.

Martysr .... Their cruise division is a part of this. Don't know about the cruises benefits ... but, do ... for sure, know they have an enclosure in their latest annual report (just came out) for Disney shareholders to take advantage of when visiting the "Magic Kingdom" ....
Threw ours away .... Would be GREAT for those who have DIS stock and are interested in a Disney Cruise to pursue!

Don't have any stocks and I am totally lost in the "market". What are the cruising benefits of owing stock in CCL or RCCL? Maybe I should invest --can someone give a quick reply as to what benefits are that you earn by owning cruise line stocks?
Two quick points--dividend earnings; which only range in pennies per common share of stock. The main benefit, based on having a minimum of 100 shares is the OBC or On Board Credit, sort of a discount coupon useable with your best cruise price, no matter what, you can get $50 to $100 off the price or credit on the ship to use towards onboard ship.

Thanks for the explanation....sounds interesting....like the OBC, the dividends don't sound like much to write home about...will have to look into this more.
