Spa Products -- Do You Get the Hard Sell?

Can you resist or do you buy the products while indulging in the spa? How much pressure do you get?

I've only been to a spa on a cruise once. The masseuse (not sure of the spelling) never asked if I wanted to purchase anything he used. But I've heard of others feeling pressure.

Our last cruise was my first time using the spa. The girl was nice but did put on a bit of pressure to buy some product, but wasn't too persistent after I told her No.
I had to say that I got the "hard sell" every time since so far, my once has been every time.

I have never gone to the spa on a cruise - thus no one to bug me to buy their products.

There are just too many other things to do on a cruise than spending time in the spa.

I spend a lot of time in the spas on a cruise. I know the treatments are overpriced, but there's nothing like getting a massage while at sea. I always get a hard sell too, even after telling them I wasn't interested in the product. I'm not good at standing up to the hard sell, but I finally started adding on a little to their tip and amazingly they quit the hard sell! I know it's wimpy of me not to just tell them no, but it's still less than the product they'd eventually convince me to buy!

On one of my cruises in the last 2 years, I decided to try the facial products the spa offers. They worked miracles for my skin. BUT, I've tried everything else so it's been worth it to me. I'm almost out so I'm glad I'm cruising next month so I can restock.

Sometimes I accidently end up in the spa, but quickly excuse myself and tell them I was looking for the bar.

I'm glad to hear that someone really enjoyed their product purchase after their cruise. At least you didn't spend all that money to find yourself disappointed 2 weeks later!
