Most lines don't allow you to bring personal alcohol on board. Although you can bring a few bottles of wine onboard as long as you pay a corkage fee. Also, if you purchase alcohol in a port they will hold it for you until the end of the cruise.

I know NCL offers a bar setup for in-room consumption.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

I always pack wine on Princess, it is for the cabin so I don't pay a corkage fee, never had it taken away!! Lots of people take beer also.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

    I haven't taken alcohol onboard...yet...

I know of some people who put alcohol in mouthwash bottles, and/or water bottles...I don't drink enough to go through the trouble...

I bring some vodka onboard to make jello-shots, I put it is a plactic water bottle so I do not risk it breaking in route.

I bring booze onboard every cruise, every cruise line. For most cruise lines you can get away with packing bottles (packed well) or transfer to plastic to eliminate risk of breakage. Wtih NCL you sometimes need to be a little more creative, but still not hard.

We have never brought booze on board. We are not interested in drinking in our cabin. (The thought has never occured to us!). We have bought mini bottles of flavoured rum or other local specialities. I have to tell you that they are still sitting unopened at home!

We will have a social drink at a party or wine with a meal. Perhaps if we cruised in France or Italy, we would bring some wine on board. In such a case, probably we would bring the wine home, and drink the ship's wine in the dining room, rather than pay a corkage fee!

We bring wine onboard...usually it's just the hubby drinking it. We pack it with my Pepsi and bottled water in a plastic crate. Haven't had it not delivered to our cabin yet.

Years ago, my hubby did buy a little bottle of rum in Ensenada and stashed it in our little one's diaper bag while on a Carnival cruise. Didn't get caught. Hubby bought a few cokes and added a little rum.

HAL doesn't allowed alcohol to brought on board - not even from any port.

We have never smuggled any on.

We either buy through Ship Services before we leave home or wait and buy it from room service when we get on the ship.

I'll admit it's a bit of a stretch to call my company a cruise line, but... On MY cruise line, I allow you to bring whatever alcohol you desire... within reason, of course! I've had people think they were "smuggling" it aboard in listerene bottles, and I've had entire cases of 50ml miniatures brought aboard. I always have a bottle of rum or wine aboard for my use...strictly after-hours, of course!
