I voted and I don't care as long as I'm on a ship, any ship.

I just voted! The smallest ship we have sailed was the Zenith. We were on it for 2 weeks and I always got lost. I don't think I have ever been so disoriented on a ship! We did have a wonderful vacation, though!
We have sailed most of Celebrity Ships. While I enjoyed them all, I prefer the Millenium size ships. I did vote for any size above the water because i would like to try Oceania one of these years. Or, maybe one of the new smaller Celebrity ships.
We don't need rock climbing or ice skating, so I don't think I will go that route.
Can someone explain the tonneage thing to me? Is that how much water the ship displaces or how much it weights? Or something else?
I usually refer to the size of a ship by how many people are on it. Around 700 people is a small cruiseship in my mind...around 2.500 people is a pretty good sized one and anything bigger I would call big. But all this talk about 90,000 versus 75,000 doesn't give me a mental image of anything. Can anyone help?
