This is a fun question. I've never even thought about bringing food onboard. I guess since we always drive to port, we could stop at anytime and eat if we got really hungry. Since we know we'll eat as soon as we board, we rarely eat until we board the ship. The ship always has everything I want so I never pack anything. Now, for beverages, I always carry those!!!!!!!

I thought I had my chewy chips ahoy, but I left them at home. I did bring several boxes of single drink mixes/teas for the water. They keep me from drinking too much soda.

No matter where I go when traveling (plane, car, or cruise ship), I always carry at least a couple granola bars, breakfast bars, and packages of crackers with me. You never know when you'll have a delay when getting to the ship (or on the ship). I find them really handy for excursions as well, especially snorkel excursions where I get out of the water tired and slightly hungry and it may be awhile before I get to food.

Also, I don't hesitate to share with people around me. Almost every time I've flown in the last several years there has been somebody around me who didn't get a chance to eat before boarding the flight, and didn't know that they no longer serve meals on the planes.

We do not pack any food to take onboard.
The only exception was when we brought cans of Mixed NUTZ.
We made our own labels and handed them out to our group.

Ah, now wrp96 has given me an idea! I didn't even think about the people around me who might have flown without realizing no food is served. That settles it. I'm always going to have energy bars packed in my back pack to share. That's such a great idea. They would also be nice snacks on excursions (if I didn't give them all away). Thanks wrp96! That's really a nice idea.

For the airplane, I also take food. We have long flights and I don't want to buy what they have to offer! I take homemade muffins, yogurts and fruit. And water. I don't know if we are again allowed to bring water. I will have to check before we leave in Feb.

On the way home, I have no choice but to buy something at the airport.

I don't either. I usually come prepared to eat out....my wife really enjoy that and do it quite a bit anyways.

I pack food when flying but not for embarkation day. I try to fly in a day early so usually the snacks are gone by then.

The question was do you bring food for the cruise and I answered No, but if its for bringing food on the airplane it would be Yes. I love pre-planning going to Marie Callenders and having a picnic lunch made. Crossants with turkey or roast beef with a piece of fruit and a large cookie looks wonderful when faced with starvation in a plane. We did get looks of envy, but it was difficult to share when you have kids asking you gonna eat all that, I can eat it mom I'm still hungry.
