Do you plan on cruising this hurricane season?

As we all know Hurricane season is upon us and we might just have our first one in the gulf in the next 12 hours or so.

My question to all of you is do you plan on cruising this hurricane season? Whether you do or not please give us some feedback on what your thoughts are.

Also are you more likely to buy travel insurance during hurricane seasons?

We always buy insurance. And yes, we will be cruising during hurricane season, like usual. This year we're going in August as opposed to July. Not sure if that's better or worse. Well, if there does happen to be a hurricane where we're going, they'll just re-route us. No big deal.

That's if you get on the ship. I tried to go last year when Hurricane Wilma hit and the ship never came back into Ft. Lauderdale and needless to say the cruise was cancelled. I had insurance also but I wound up eating the airfare since I was already there. Never will I cruise again during Hurricane season. It was no fun being in the middle of that thing and then getting stuck for days and waiting for the airport to open up again...I got a full refund from RCI and 25% off a future cruise. As far as I'm concerned it should have been more!

We're going in the middle of November. Hopefully things would've wound down by then. But just in case, we have insurance too!

Only b/c I can't afford another till I get my 1/07 "Honeymoon" Cruise paid for. Am I scared to cruise? Heck no! I made it through 18' waves on my last cruise (9/19/05) Celebration. That boat was a-rocking!! HAHAHA
