Absolutely not. It's too hot and humid anyway. Alaska is the only place to cruise in hurricane season!

Yes, we will be cruising from October 8-15th this fall. Hopefully we won't get caught during a Hurricane, but we've been told that they go around the storm so we are not too worried. We always buy insurance. It is stupid not too. You just never know what can happen. Looking forward to a relaxing and fun cruise.
We came over on the Galaxy TA last year while Wilma was nailing Florida. They cancelled Key West because the port was closed and stayed a few extra hours in Nassau with double the scheduled ships due to re-routing from Wilma's path. Those that planned on getting off at Key West had a fun time finding air over but it was mostly just an inconvenience for the rest of us.
Would we do it again? Yes!
We don't sail while school is out but will consider the right opportunity for September/October and depending on price may end up buying insurance. Looks more likely this year with some of the pricing that I have seen recently but still nothing that is "must do"!

No, we like itinerary-driven cruises. Hurricanes just add to the odds against making the ports,(along with mechanical problems or politcal unrest....which has happened to us).
Last year we were on the a western Caribbean cruise in October that only made Cozumel, and added some obscure Mexican port, to make up for the other 3 missed ports. Lucky for us, we booked a cabin we were would be comfortable spending extra time in. We still had a wonderful cruise. Just didnt make it to where we wanted to go.
Also, there is the concern of making it to or from point of departure as well (re-negotiating flights, hotels and/or transfers).
We are waiting until January 07 to cruise the Caribbean again.

Yes indeed! We are scheduled to sail on the Glory this Sat. (6/17). However, my mother in law, who has been in very bad health the last few months, is not doing well at all. She's tough and we believe she will be ok! We do have cruise insurance.

You bet! Being re-routed has never been a problem.
No, but not because of the possiblity hurricanes, we just didn't plan to go at that time.
Did a western carib in February, going to Koera next week, our son is getting married in September and we plan to take a cruise next February. I think this summer is a bit much, but if someone wants to take a handsomemiddle aged guy with them let me know

We're planning on going out from Sept 4-9th from Galveston and will just "go with the flow" as they say...1st cruise and will welcome pretty much everything I'm guessing. Didn't buy insurance; do y'all recommend it ???
Yes we are sailing to Mexican Riveria on Oct. 29 2006.

We will be cruising the last week of October / 1st week of November. Hopefully things will have calmed down by then!
