I spent last Christmas/New Year aboard NCL Crown sailing around South America.
It was wonderful. We saw the New Year in while on the River Plate, from Montevideo to Buenos Aires. It was a beautiful evening and I spent most of it by myself out on the prom deck, Emile (the Capt) blew the ship's horn to mark the start of 2006.
It was a fantastic experience, wonderful people and just a truly memorable way to celebrate the New Year.
This was the final sunset of 2005 (and of the cruise too)

It's gonna be a hardship but, our family has decided to cruise for the double whammy....Christmas and New Years.... Frus will ease the pain I am sure.....

I answered yes as I would definitely love to do it. However, as long as I am working, I can't take vacations over Christmas and New Years, :thumbsdow Bummer, guess I will have to wait till I retire, or go per diem, (then I can say when I will work and say no whenever,
