Question Best Food: RCCL or Carnival?

Simple question: Who has the best food in their Main Dining Rooms - Royal Caribbean Cruise Line or Carnival? Not specialty dining and not their other cruise lines. Not a discussion on mass market cruising nor the price paid for a cruise. Just a simple straitforward question - In a head to head competition, who has the best food in their main dining room?

It has been a long time since I cruised Carnival so I will wait until January to answer this question.

My vote goes to Carnival, hands down. For my taste, they have the best food. RCI is good, Carnival is great.

That being said, of course, we all know how subjective taste is. I bet you will get just as many responses for RCI as you will for Carnival.

PS
The leather clad menu's in Carnival's dining rooms always impressed upon me the feeling that I was in a 5* restaurant too, as opposed to the paper ones on RC. Just a small observation, but sometimes little things matter when making a good impression.

I think I'll have to go with RCCL this time. I've only been on one of their cruises, and I've been on many Carnival cruises, but I've noticed Carnival's food decline these past few years (both in quality and appearance). The one time I was on RCCL I love the food every night.

Haven't had Carnival food unless you include Princess. But anything they put out would be better than the stuff I had on our only RCCL cruise.

I can't compare this one as I've only sailed Carnival. I was extremely surprised to have 5 Star quality food in Carnivals' main dining room on both the Destiny and Valor. It was excellent.

I'm going to go with Carnival, I did not like RC food!! Not all of it, but I was disappointed in most of it!!

My vote goes to RCCL.

The quality/taste/selection and everything just seems a step above Carnival.
