Why is your favorite cruiseline your favorite??

Details and the name of the cruiseline would be helpful if you care to share...we can all learn from the answers!

I couldn't vote, as I couldn't choose just one answer...lol.

I like Carnival...I have 3 kids and it is the most affordable for our family...as we also go to Disney every year...

The service we have had on Carnival has always been excellent...and the food is great too...

don't get me wrong...Royal Caribbean was great....Costa was very good too....with my family...the Carnival is the most affordable.

When we began planning our 25th wedding anniversary we wanted to go on a cruise and we'd heard really good things about Royal Caribbean, so I booked with them. We loved our cruise. We met some really nice folks who had been on 30 plus cruises with RCI. They sang their praises. They even gave us the little Crown and Anchor gift that had been given to them and helped us get signed up. We had a fabulous time, so when we got back and began telling our friends and family about it, my parents wanted to go and we booked another cruise later that same year. We've now completed six cruises and will be Diamond after our upcoming October cruise. I discovered cruise boards after our third cruise and began to find out about other cruise lines. From what I've read ... RCI suits us best for what we can afford to pay. We just love to cruise. We could take the same cruise over and over. For us it's more about being on the ship than which port we visit. We may try Celebrity at some point, but for now we plan to continue cruising with RCI ... hopefully about twice a year!

My favorite is Princess, specifically Grand Class. Love the aft, crew, and the beauty of the ship!! Just like going home!!

My Signature Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I thought about that...but if I let people check multiple answers I was afraid everybody might check them all. It would be like having no poll if all the answers were all checked! If that makes sense!

I checked "itineraries", although with Radisson (now Regent) I could have also checked food/service. But lots of cruiselines have great food and service, so I think the really unique thing about Radisson/Regent is they have the hands-down best itineraries and excursion choices. For one thing, the ships are smaller and can get into bays, lagoons, and ports where some bigger ships can't go...and besides that, their options of things to do are just so unusual and wonderful!

I too couldn't vote..........a great poll........but for us one answer just doesn't say why.

I have been on Princess, RC and Celebrity...........our favorite is RC.........

Why

For one thing, ship design.........you can have a lot of passengers and still have a well designed ship for public areas........another is budget........and another is attitude...........a nice experience without the attitude of the rich and famous. All three lines are very close.......some do things better than others........Celebrity is the best on service...........RC activities.........On Princess we really liked their food......

but for OVERALL satisfaction that includes many factors.........Royal Caribbean is the best for us.

Nice poll though

Thumbs up

THL .... Nice poll!

The only problem I have is ... my favorite cruise line really does depend on the type of cruise we want to take at the time. My favorite for a "laid back cruise" is not my favorite for a more "active" cruise ....

I picked "Itinerary"! No matter what, we never want to go to totally awful ports ....
